to Messina by galley 175 miles, from there to Naples by Felucca 178
miles, then to Rome via Terri to Ancona 300 miles, Ancona to Venice
by galley 123 miles and from Venice to Padua by road 45 miles, the
entire was rated M8, R9, V13 and P15, a remarkable example of the
quadruple rate, with yellow brown handstamp MESSINA, a very rare
