Command), clearly struck violet cachet VOJNA POŠTA (military post),
multiple Serbian and Ottoman-style postmarks including SCOPLYE,
USKUB, and IMPRIMÉ cancellations all dated 22 XI 1912, sent barely
four weeks after Skopje was captured by Serbian forces on 26
October 1912 during the First Balkan War, card illustrates
immediate establishment of Serbian military administration and
postal infrastructure in formerly Ottoman territory, early example
of outbound international military correspondence during this brief
transitional period, historically significant as Serbian occupation
of Macedonia was a major strategic and national objective during
the Balkan campaigns, well-preserved card with clear strikes and
legible address to Switzerland, XF!
